Pastor A.C. Clark, III, with Pleasant Grove Baptist Church and the Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children invite you to join the efforts of local churches and community groups across Texas to find forever families for children and meet the needs of other children, youth, and families in your community.
A Community Adoption Forum is Coming to Your Area!
Hosted by the Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children
The Department of Family and Protective Services Advisory Committee on Promoting Adoption of Minority Children (ACPAMC) will be hosting a Community Adoption Forum in your area!
What is the Community Adoption Forum? The Community Adoption Forum is an event that brings faith communities across a region together to raise awareness of the need for services for the birth families, relatives, children, and foster and adoptive families involved with Child Protective Services.
Current ministries have provided resources in areas such as Kinship and Relative support, Supervised Independent Living Programs for youth in transition, mentoring of youth in transition, prison ministry to parents and youth, wrap around support for foster and adoptive families, and families becoming verified to foster and adopt.
This is an exciting opportunity for Child Protective Services to work faith-based partners and the local community! Just think if every child and family currently involved with CPS had a church family supporting them!
What are we asking? If you are a member of a faith community please feel free to extend an invitation to your faith leader to attend this Forum! No faith community is too small to participate. RSVP's are required and can be provided to Jamie Johnson.
Please contact Jamie Johnson (jamie.johnson3@dfps.state.tx.us) or 512-438-5523 if you have any questions.
