A Humble Servant!
Reverend A. C. Clark, III serves as full-time pastor of the historic 121 year-old Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in College Station, Texas, better known as “The Grove.” At the age of thirty-six, Pastor Clark acknowledged and accepted his call by God to preach His word. He was licensed, and ordained to the ministry on September 16, 1986, under the leadership of Pastor R. L. Davis at the Willowridge Baptist Church in Stafford, Texas. Pastor Clark has dedicated himself to the study of the Word of God. As a yielded vessel, he empties himself out for the benefit of those he is called to lead. He stands as a forerunner in this generation declaring the Word of truth.
Pastor Clark attended Lincoln High School, but graduated from A&M Consolidated High School. He attended Prairie View A&M University, in Prairie View Texas, majoring in Business Administration with a minor in Psychology. He also attended Texas A&M University in College Station, Texas, where he continued to pursue his education. His theological training included Union Baptist College & Theological Seminary, South Texas School of Theology and College of Biblical Studies. Pastor Clark has also studied abroad traveling to Regent’s Park College, University of Oxford, London, UK and the Divinum, Rome for seminars taught by Dr. Joel Cliff Gregory of the George W. Truett Theological Seminary of Baylor University. These seminars are recognized nationally as a venue for certification in biblical preaching and continuing education for pastors and proclaimers.
Pastor Clark maintains multiple leadership roles within his local and national community. These positions include: one of the founding members of the Greater Friendship District Association where he is currently the 2nd Vice Moderator. He is also the Treasurer of the Brazos Valley Pastors and Ministers Fellowship, along with being a Board member of the Parent Body Organization of the Missionary Baptist General Convention of Texas.
Pastor Clark is a native of College Station, Texas, the offspring of the late A. C. Clark, Jr., and Robbie Malone Clark, and he’s the seventh of nine siblings. Pastor Clark is married to Mrs. Betty Clark, and they have three sons.
